To me, Bikram yoga is the best form of regular exercise there is. I like Mile High Bikram Yoga because of the excellent teaching, friendliness, support, and congeniality. I've been going there for two years. Although I now live in the mountains and there is 'hot yoga' close by, I still make the drive to Mile High to practice. It's a great studio to call home.

Bikram Yoga has changed my life! I used to have problems with depression and anxiety, and I had back pain, knee pain, leg pain, and headaches. I've been practicing for a little over a year, and all of those problems have either greatly receded or have gone completely. These classes have worked for me like nothing else, and I've tried lots of things. I thought about taking these classes for years, and now I wish I had started when I first thought about it. It's worth every bit of sweat and time and expense, and it's certainly a lot cheaper and easier than operations, doctor visits, or prescriptions.

The Bikram community is very supportive and welcoming. The teachers are serious about making sure everyone is safe and practicing correctly, but they also tell stories and make occasional jokes and they make it fun to be there. David and Samantha's studio is a very nice and clean place to practice, with a large free parking lot. It's very conveniently located and they have a lot of times to choose from throughout the day. I highly recommend giving this studio a try!

I am a 54 year old woman who has dabbled (going once or twice a week) in hot yoga since 2005. I got interested in it when a friend mentioned it would be good for my lower back pain. I also have arthritis and other health issues.

In December of 2008, I started going to Mile High Bikram Yoga. I was a little intimidated at first, thinking I might be way out of place. Much to my relief, I found people of all ages, shapes and sizes.

I started attending class more often and decided to do the 30 day challenge in November. I was inspired by the challenge Mile High had done earlier in the year. At first, I had my doubts about my ability to complete it, but during one class, the instructor was talking about how we underestimate ourselves. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that’s what I tend to do.

Not only did I complete one 30 day challenge, I completed 2! I feel so much better physically and mentally. I have lost 20 pounds. The arthritis in my knee doesn’t bother me nearly so much. I still have to be careful with my back, but each class makes it feel better.
As daunting as it may sound, I strongly recommend doing the 30 day challenge. It will change your life.

Namaste,

My name is Manley Daniel. I am 57 years old and a retired middle school teacher. I have been consistently practicing at MileHigh Bikram Yoga for a year-and-a-half and have experienced some amazing changes in my physical well-being and spiritual development during that time.

I have lost 25 pounds and stopped taking medications for high blood pressure and cholesterol which I had been on for 8 years. In addition to that I have no signs of varicose veins, something both my parents had surgery for.

My skin looks and feels great and the soreness in my joints and muscles I once experienced has disappeared. Bikram Yoga has helped me become more focused in my meditation practice and allowed me to control my temper and mood swings. I would recommend to anyone at any age with whatever health challenges to practice Bikram Yoga to feel great and lead a healthy, happy life.
